UNIEI Business Barometers

University of Nottingham Institute for Enterprise and Innovation. The UK Business Barometer (UKBB) and UK Business Adviser Barometer (UKBAB) are monthly online business surveys run by the UNIEI. The surveys have been used by government and other key organisations to canvas opinion and views both from businesses and their advisers.

The varying perspective of these two survey groups gives a balanced insight into the issues being investigated. The UKBAB enables business advisers at a local level to give policy makers the benefit of their experience, It offers advisers a voice into government at the highest level locally, regionally and nationally. The information provided enables the designers and implementers of business support policy to be more effectively informed. The UKBB similarly gives smaller businesses an up to date and direct voice to all levels of government, enabling decision-makers to understand quickly how new conditions are affecting smaller businesses. Key facts and figures arising from these surveys are highlighted in projectís monthly press releases. Experts from the Barometer team are available for comment and can give further insight into the findings of each survey, previous trends and the concept as a whole.
